The University of Denver (CU Denver) offers quality academic programs and unparalleled career outcomes in one of America’s greatest cities. CU Denver is ranked in the top 5% of all universities in the US and has 9 graduate programs ranked in the top 100. The University offers 57 STEM-OPT eligible programs, has 300 partnerships with local businesses, and awards more than 700 internships every year. 

CU Denver offers more than 140-degree programs. The student population is 15,000 students, of which 7% are international.

Student Life and Accommodation Facilities

CU Denver students can choose to live in one of our 3 student housing communities, or off-campus. Denver has a great public transportation system, which is free for students. Students are taken care of from the moment they arrive on campus and can join one of our more than 150 student clubs, intramural and club sports, or other campus groups. 

On-campus English Learning Course

Students can study at the on-campus ESL Academy before beginning their degree programs at CU Denver. The ESL Academy will prepare students for university life. The ESL Academy offers small class sizes, excellent faculty, fun activities and personalized student support services.

Undergraduate: All undergraduate programs offer conditional admission.

    IELTS: 6.5
    Other tests accepted: PTE, IB, A-Level, or AP English test
  • No SAT/ACT or essays required!

Graduate: Some programs offer conditional admission.

  • Proof of English Language Proficiency: (some programs have higher minimums)

TOEFL: 75

IELTS: 6.5

Work Prospects During and After Studies

Students can work on-campus up to 20 hours a week. There are many well-paid job opportunities on campus, and a Career Center to help students apply. Students may also apply for internships. After graduation, students can stay and work in the United States for up to one year after studying in USA. Students who are in a STEM-designate program may stay an additional 2 years after graduation. Denver has the strongest city economy in the US and is an excellent place to look for a job.
