Great News for Kuwaiti High School Graduates to Receive Kuwaiti Government Scholarship
Every year, thousands of Kuwaiti high school graduates receive a full scholarship to study abroad by the Kuwaiti Government at government-approved colleges and universities. Students who receive a certain high school grade are granted a full scholarship to the discipline and university of their choice. Scholarship approval by the Kuwaiti scholarship council is subject to a set of criteria to ensure that students who are lined up to their desired study discipline are meeting the requirements to receive their full scholarships.
Students who are looking to study medicine, for example, are required to have an overall high school passing rate of 95%. Similarly, students who desire to study engineering have to have a passing rate of 85%.
The great news is that students who couldn’t secure their scholarships upon high school graduation and are looking to complete their medical degrees abroad can still receive their full government scholarships once these two conditions are met
- Students who have completed their pre-med studies and have received acceptance into medical school or dentistry school in the US and Canada
- Students’ high school passing rate has to comply with that of set rates by the Kuwait scholarship council and cannot be less than 90%.
What does this mean?
What this means to students who are currently studying abroad on their own expense and they met the above requirements is that they can still benefit from the National Kuwaiti Scholarship system and have their medical or dentistry school tuition paid.
Similarly, graduates who were not accepted into this year’s scholarship plans can still enroll at a university abroad and be able to benefit from the scholarship system once they meet these requirements.
