This is a 30-minute online test which is organized on demand anywhere and at anytime. The purpose of CPET is to asses the English proficiency level of the student and place them on the right course, in the right class or right exam. It is a quick online test system which can be taken at any time and it offers the instant results in form of an individual report or group reports. 

CEPT test will examine your general English level and defines language competences according to A1 – C2 CEFR levels. There is no age limit for this test anybody, from anywhere with computer and internet connection can give this test. It is available for 24 hours.

The test demands around 30 minutes and produces a proper report with an accurate level. The test is designed to test following abilities of an individual:

  • Grammar
  • Reading

 

What to expect in the CEPT? Here is the test pattern below:

CEPT Reading Test Format

Read and Select Applicants read a notice, diagram, label, memo or letter containing a short text and pick the correct sentence or phrase that most closely matches the meaning of the text. There are three possible answers.
Fill in the blanks Applicants read a sentence with a missing word (gap) and choose the correct word to fill the gap. There are four choices for each gap.
Multiple choice for fill-in-the-blanks questions Applicant chooses the right word or phrase to fill the gaps in a text. There are four choices for each gap.
Missing Words / Open fill gaps Applicant read a short text in which there are some missing words (gaps) and write in the missing word in each gap.
Extended reading Applicant read a longer text and answer a series of multiple-choice questions. The questions are in the same order as the information in the text.

 

CEPT Listening Test Format

Listen and Select Applicants listen to a short audio recording and answer a multiple-choice question with three options.
Extended Listening Applicants listen to a longer recording and answer a series of multiple-choice questions based on it. The questions are in the same order as the information they hear in the recording.
